Our story...
Our passion for the Mediterranean lifestyle began many years ago when we purchased a beachside olive grove in New Zealand
and built our Maison in the Mediterranean style.
Developing on from this we are partners in AvoHealth a New Zealand export company which produces extra virgin avocado oil which is now sold globally.
Having been regular visitors to France since 2002, our growing passion has taken a major step and we now live permanently in France.
Arriving in France, Chris has become heavily involved in the wine industry with new business partner Domaine des Trinites
We have visited friends in Nice every Summer for the
last three years and did consider buying there. However, the area is
very pricey, and the beaches are not so great. We prefer life in the
Languedoc which is not as flashy as the Riveria, and as our friends
say, it is more like the "real France". The
Languedoc region, also known as the 'Midi' offers a laid back
lifestyle, to suit both wine and sun lovers... with everything on
your doorstep. And don't forget the Winter, the Languedoc is so
beautiful at this time of year, with numerous ski fields in the
Pyrenees only 1 1/2 hours drive.
We decided that living remotely in the country could get a bit lonely
and that the ideal location would be a village offering local
activity, places of interest nearby and easy access.
We
found the small medieval village of Villeneuve
lès Béziers, on the Canal du Midi, just 5km from the fantastic
Mediterranean beaches and with both the TGV train and airport less
than 15 minutes drive.
To justify the purchase of a house in
France, when you are likely to holiday here for only a few weeks a
year, is easier said than done! So we decided to invite others to
benefit from the advantages of shared house ownership in
France.
It is now our passion to provide a home base for like
minded people who love the idea of their own property in France, but
prefer to share the initial outlay and the on-going expenses. We
understand the process of foreign ownership and offer you the
opportunity of a stress free purchase of your piece of
France.
